Help Optimus V Audio Jack Problems

I have a stock Optimus V and when I play Mp3's through phone speaker or Bluetooth headphones all sounds good. When I plug in regular headphones to phone jack, sound is very distorted. Have tried numerous headphones and all have the same problem. Phone is out of warranty I think, so if I have a bad jack is there anything that can be done to fix this issue? Would appreciate any help.

I'm having the same issue. When I plug in the headphones some sounds are muffled and others are too loud. I'm running the Inferior Human Organs ROM (BACKside). Have you found any fixes for it?

If I'm not mistaken, the particular issue you are having is specific to that rom. Ask Jerry in the BACKside thread just to be sure.

Try using standard headphones 2 (left and right audio) rings at bottom, when I had a coby kyros mid7024 I got distorted sound from headphones when using apple headphones with mic (3 rings left, right, and mic) but perfectly fine with any other 2 ring headphones
