Order of Text Messages

Hey there. I'm just wondering if there is anyway for me to change the order in which text messages are displayed because I'm getting so tired of scrolling all the way up, up, up to locate the last received message of a lengthy conversation.

I did play around in the settings but there wasn't anything I could find.

Thanks!

Desire HD. I only see my own text messages. I have to scroll up to see the pack of my friend's messages. It has never been in true order.

Ok, that's strange. I'll move this to the Desire HD sub-forum to see if other owners can help. It's definitely not standard Android behavior.

Sorry for posting it in the wrong section. I just thought it could be a general Android issue. Could it have to do with the fact that I use Fido? Would the phone maybe display it differently for some reason?

It sounds like the timestamps on the messages are off, if all of your posts are clustering at the bottom whilst his are above.

Check the times listed for each message and try to figure out whether sent/received ones are off and by how much.

The times of received messages are off by hours. Mine seem fine and correct.

All my messages are clustered at the bottom whereas whoever I'm talking to will remain at the top, meaning the longer the conversation, the more and more I need to scroll up each and every time someone sends a message.

Are you accessing your SMS through that or the stock app?
Stock messaging app.

Are they off by the same amount every time? Some SMS apps allow you to compensate for this, but that won't work if it's not the same every time.

Ah, thank you, paulrh. I tried both apps but SMS Time Fix really did the trick. I didn't really want to use a whole different app just to have some times fixed so I tried SMS Time Fix. I had to play with the settings a little bit, ended up selecting the Use Phone's Time setting and now every message is sent and received in the proper order.

What a relief!
