Root original kernel

Okay I installed Plague's 2.0ghz kernel into my esteem but I've noticed the battery lasts less than with the original one, even at only 1ghz. I backed up my ROM before installing this new kernel, if I restore the ROM using CWM, will the kernel go back to original or stay the same. If it stays the same, where can I find the original one?

It should go back to the original kernel

If you backed up before you installed the kernel, you will go back to exactly what you had. The only thing a back up really won't change is the OTA updates, ZVA,B,C. One you install those there is not changing them unless you downgrade.

On a side note, it might be something else causing your battery issues. Although I never ran the stock framework. As soon as I got the phone I rooted it and installed a ROM.

Okay thanks. I also want to go back because my phone doesn't seem to stick to 2.0ghz, the max I've been able to get w/o rebooting is 1.8 so I don't really think it's worth it.

My phone can't never go over 1.8 GHz but with Plague can be set anywhere between 1-1.8GHz, don't you think it's worth it?
