Download the apk and get it to your sdcard. If you download it from your phone, make sure to use chrome as other browsers sometimes have trouble with downloads. Once it is on your sdcard, click it and choose install. A warning will come up saying you can change security settings or similar. Do that, and when the menu comes up put a check in the "Unknown sources" box. Hit the back button and continue installation. Once installed follow the instructions in the OP

You can install cwm recovery and use any of the roms posted in this forum.
There are many posts about wifi tether. Have a look.
