Root ota gingerbread 2.3.3 problem

ok heres my problem i did the ota gb upgrade and i want to go back to 2.2 so i can root and get a custom rom so i tried the ruu 3.70..... and i get a error message that says " BOOTLOADER VERSON ERROR " so i was wandering if anybody has had this problem and is there a fix for it?

Currently there is no way to go back to 2.2 and no root for the new update. You will have to wait til they find a new exploit.

really!!! i was just wandering because i saw a youtube video that was just uploaded yesterday and the guy on there did it with no problem " but idk " you take a look and tell my what you think .

Bring un rooted shouldn't stop an ruu that's all an ota is basically. Sure you grabbed the correct ruu?

i grabbed the one that was in his link and i found a different one both of them says the same thing . idk what im doing wrong

so you're trying to downgrade from gingerbread back to froyo with an unrooted phone correct? let me know if you have any success because i regret my curiosity of gingerbread and now not being able to root lol

Yeah but who knows what his hboot was...what its your hboot?

Oh yeah...is that what the ruu was made for? I haven't seen the ruu for that hboot...maybe I'll look at that video and get back to you...

This guy did an RUU and got back to 2.1, may want to pm him and ask what RUU he grabbed?
