OTA update beginning 7/16

Remember! Verizon runs on their own version of VALVe Time. When they mean an update is coming out today, they mean today at the literal last possible minute (11:59 PM).
 
Deleted post.. I didn't see that other people posted the same email message they received today about 2.1 from verizon in another thread..
 
i just got it! waiting for my phone to charge cuz it was almost dead when i got the update.

I'm rooted, so at this point, the OTA doesn't really matter for me. Sooner or later, devs will incorporate any changes into their ROMs.

i'm rooted and oc'd. but i have the stock rom. so i'm quite sure it wont matter in my case

I am on eris #4 (third refurb) and after 3 factory resets on this device, I still have a phone that is pretty much useless because of the audio issues and lots of bugs. The rep told me they would be happy to swap me to another device at a 1 year contract rate, even though we have been with them with four lines for over 10 years and the eris was just purchased in March. I hope this software update does the trick or I'm paying to get out of the contracts and going elsewhere.

Pretty interesting, I'm in the same boat as you, on a family plan with 5 lines, and have been since Verizon est. in 2001.
I've gone through 3 Eris' (two refurbs) and just had enough, I was also told about the update coming (7/17) but since all of the problems I've had with the Eris, they credited me $199 for it(Eris), and let me keep it, which I sold for $150, and canceled out my old contract(free) and opened up a new two year contract, giving me the DInc. at the online two year price ($199) which the credit they gave for the Eris covered.
So I basically got a free DInc. and got to keep and sell my 1 day old Eris refurb.
Keep trying man.
 
my daughter got her update and i didnt. wonder if its cuz i'm rooted. have the stock rom untouched though. so it seems like it wouldnt matter

Is your phone newer or older than hers?
I bet they go based off serial numbers, not location or anything like that. I still didn't get mine, but that's probably because they didn't get to my serial number yet.
 
Anyone know when they are supposed to have all phones updated by?

Also if you've got the update do you notice any changes?
