OTA update jan 8.

Just got the OTA Update in the South East Texas area, ROM: 1.17.605.1/ Radio: 2.32.40.11.09 at 01:00 (+06:00).

It's a simple update, but at least it's a fix for something.

And as far as everyone talking how they should be fixing all these Pre-installed apps on the Eris.. give them time. Remember, they have.. how many phones they have to configure the OS and System updates to work with each phone, as well as each wireless service provider. Not to mention configuring the update for the SENSE UI, that mimics the HTC Touch line. HTC is possibly one of the best phone electronics companies to date, no complaints here. Lovin' my DROID Eris to death. I personally enjoy having random updates to look forward to. Compared to other phone manufactures that release a phone and MAYBE, fix one problem the entire life of the phone.. we have it good with HTC. Eris is still considered lesser than the Moto DROID but the Eris still kicking Moto

Wife just got hers. She was about to get fed up with her phone freezing all the time. After messing with the phone it seems the update helped with switching from potrait to landscape mode a lot faster. Chattanooga,Tn here

Hi Everyone!

New user have had my phone since Dec 23. I turned on my Eris yesterday morning (Jan 11, 2010) and it wanted to do my upgrade. I live in South Bend IN.

Got my update waiting! Curious what it is since I haven't kept up lately. Just waiting to hit 40% while charging. TX here.

Ok! I finally got the update. The phone seems more responsive. I only had it lock up on me once, so that wasn't an issue for me. Also, the agenda on my calendar widget is correct now. Wasn't listed on the release, but i think the update corrected that problem I was having.

Got my update yesterday (1/11) morning. Kinda surprised it took this much longer than most people to get mine. Kinda makes me sad to think if/when 2.0/2.1 is released, people will go crazy on here, yet some of us will wait up to three days, or more, to experience it. Gonna be a tough pill to swallow during the waiting period for some of us.

Mine was waiting for me @ 5:00AM...installed ith no issues and so far, seems to be A-OK....(I did not have a freezing issue prior to this update, btw.)

Update received sometime this morning/over nite. Installed but froze on restart. Started again, killed apps, froze again. Restart again, everything seems to be ok as of NOW.

Great, I had 0 problems with my phone when I got it.

First OTA update, the youtube stops working and then a week or two after that the weather won't work with Current City anymore, and I got a phone lock up that needed a battery pull.

Second OTA update, I get the half dimmed screen several times now, when I wake up the phone. I have to press the End call to turn the screen off and then turn it on again.

I never had any of these problems before these updates. These updates keep making my phone worse.

Update finally came right as I got to work last night at 11pm. Everything went fine. I only experienced a few freezes since the last update, none in the last 2+ weeks, so I am curious to see how this one does. I really do feel like the phone is snappier and I even have about 12 things running right now. Sweet!

My Calendar Widget showed appointments as one day earlier than they actually are. Is this the same problem you experienced?

Got my update this morning in Va. Quicker, less battery usage, BUT when I kill all tasks in Advanced Task Killer, my screen resets and has to load again.. kinda annoying but manageable. Anyone else with this?

Thanks,

Ben
