yeah my phone is still maintaining that there is no update. I can update over Wifi right? I have like 1 bar or service where I am(my house)

You can force the update to your phone.
Just go to settings
Apps -> All -> Google Service Frameworks -> Force stop
Then go to System Updates -> ZTE Software, and voila! There you go! Get ready to download a 196 MB file. Worked for me!

If you kept CWM installed after the update, download this Root.zip reboot to cwm and flash it. After that, go back to the main menu of cwm and hit reboot. BEFORE you reboot cwm will ask you if you want to fix root (/system/bin/su) go down to yes, your phone will now reboot and you should be rooted on 4.1

i suggest that everyone update via OTA and not a cwm backup of the update, The update patches many things outside of the system so in other words it patches certain partitions as well.

Update Instructions

Download the update from here 4.1 Update and place it on your sdcard
Reboot recovery
WIPE DATA "if you do not wipe data your phone will be stuck at the boot animation"
Install the zip from your sdcard "takes about 3-6 Mins"
go to the main menu of cwm and hit reboot
CWM will tell you that a new recovery will be flash would you like to disable it select yes
your phone will reboot and be up and running with 2-3 minutes.

that is the OTA lol, everyone gets the same zip. I just said dont update via cwm backup of the 4.1.2 update. because the OTA includes partions update. Download my update zip and follow the instructions.

There was a screen in the first post. Its legit they are just rolling it out in phases so the network is not overloaded with users like us slamming it to get the new update
