Root OTG with thumb drive?

How can I use an OTG cable with thumb drive on the V? I tried plugging it in and accessing files with ES File Explorer, but can't find thumb drive...i don't think the phone is seeing it? I use froyo Harmonia rom. Thanks in advance!

Maybe if you could link me to some intructions from the manufacturers site I could help. Not sure what you got there.

OK, here's a link to an OTG cable on amazon...it's just a cable with micro usb on one end, and you can plug a thumb drive into the other end. I was using it with the Nexus 7 I had (but recently sold...don't really want more devices, LOL) to watch movies I had downloaded onto my thumb drive.

It looks like the V wasn't capable. Good Idea for other phones though.
