Root [OUDHS] Clockworkmod Recovery 1.0.3.4

Shabby new bug report

Try booting into recovery then rebooting to system with no usb cable connected, then shut down the phone completely and plug in your charger. Phone boots to recovery. Only way to charge is wait for the device to boot past the black screen right before the MetroPCS logo and you will boot into the o's.

This is huge. If you completely run out of battery juice you are screwed.

does it chage when its useing a wall charger? moto suffers similar issues of it tries to auto boot when usb is connected

i dont know about all that..but i do know that if you have the phone plugged in to the wall charger and power it off..it will boot right into recovery

yes, this was with a wall charger and the usb cable that came with the phone.

I'm not really sure that I want to leave my phone unattended I in recovery. Do you know if it will charge while in recovery?

okay so here is the observation I made while fiddling around with recovery.

When you press volume up volume down and power to get into recovery you get an invalid command argument error but,. When plugging the USB cable in with power off you do not receive the error message when recovery boots

also if you reboot now into recovery again the error message is not there regardless if the phone is plugged in or not this is cosmetic but it is a bug like I said I have some OCD tendencies lol. My guess is that it has to do something with the key combination

I don't know how I did it but I got recovery into Rainbow mode....maybe it was from hitting both volume buttons at the same time.....

Ok I need my hand held through my problem. How do I install this if I'm currently stuck in a bootloop.I can get to stock recovery and usb update mode, but scripts doesn't ever find device

take it to a metro store

How does someone go about making or geting a stock firmware.cause seems like it can b installed when I have it in usb update, just I can't find anything anywhere to update it with.it just waits til I finally unplug it and fails, going back to recovery screen

i have no idea, this is teh first huawei ive ever worked with, and after this experience ill be sure to put it on my never **** with again list.

Umm, how did you brick it? Just curious, and it may be useful for a do-not-attempt list. We almost have enough to make a sticky on it!

Just quick question, I know u said that the recovery would be hard to read because it wont scroll to let u see the whole line. So im kinna freaked out on what im highlighting LOL can someone help ....But yes the recovery works fine just cant scroll left to right to see what it says

Where is the default internal backup location? I accidently backed up internally and I can't seem to find it in total commander. I can view it within recovery, but woukd like to find the folder itself. Thanks.

data/shared is where cwm puts its backups
but the default location for internal sdcard is data/share
for android commander, i had to change permissions of data folder to even see any content

Current bugs:

Hey Shabby,
I noticed you included a source link in your op, but I'm getting a 404 error when I go there. It was just for my personal knowledge, so I was just wondering.

Thanks again for your hard work on this.

I would like to try [if possible] and would like to be sure I have the right script. I have a 32gig external card - lots of storage.

If I need to do a "Nandroid" backup prior to all of this, I would need instructions for that.

So, I'll wait until tomorrow? I could use some info on doing a Nandroid backup or whatever kind of backup I need to do prior to running the script?
