Which drivers didn't work? Could you explain what you've tried and where you're having trouble? Have you tried all of the drivers on this thread?

ahhhh...i just used the universal drivers and used the bat file included with motochopper.....:) ..new phone rooted...on camera (ptp) ...... WOOOOOOOOOO!

before this is i tried OneClickRoot...because it was reported as being a successful root..but, after trying it in media and camera it was a bust for me .... and i had to use my pc...

i installed the SDK stuff on my laptop and tried it on there for a hour or two and was plagued by ADB errors ( i.e. ... out of date..old...and adb fixer was just another annoyance) and problems with more than one program loading while i was trying to use the cmd's in the motochopper folder.

i tried using port cmd's to find the other prog that was loading at the same time.but, i'm not that smart and could'nt figure it out..

but, i did it........now...what am i gonna do with my old ADMIRE running OA? that's the question.

Ok i downloaded the huawei driver and it worked i guess.... And i have my phone in ptp mode have the tools downloaded and the motochoppr folder im just not sure how to work the tool i guess

If you installed everything correctly and updated api in sdk then I think ur on the part where you run run.bat and root it.

Yeah it just said "*daemon not running. Starting it now port 5037*
*daemon started successfully * and then nothing happeneds....

I have the driver (huawei)I have the sdk installed and I have the motochpper folder. I have my phone in debug and on ptp (camera mode) now I've followed everything to the t. Maybe it's my OS on my CPU its XP. Lmao maybe I should wait for a one tuch root :/

If you have SDK installed, you can also try pushing the files manually. But first, CHECK AND SEE if your PC is even connected with your phone:

If using XP:

Click on Start menu
Click 'Run...'
Type CMD, hit enter
DOS prompt will come up. (Black screen, white letters)
Type 'adb devices' and hit enter

You should see "List of ADB devices attached", followed by a device address that looks like M931-********

If you don't see your device there, download some different drivers or try another USB cable cuz Mchopper won't work if it can't communicate with, or even see your phone.

Yeah it's not showing up but I know my computer is reading it so its not the USB and I've tried the all the driver it is saying adb is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable or batch

that error is because you didnt extract the zip

if you extracted it, you would not have adb as an unknown command
Ok walk me though it then cause I'm assuming that your talking about the motochopper zip and I wouldn't be able to see "run. MS-batch file" and click on it or are you talking about another zip file?

adb shell
su
dd if=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/recovery of=/sdcard/Stock-Premia.4g-Recovery.img

and i can begin work on cwm. since huawei now has a bootload unlock site and i guess a few other their other phones have locked bootloader no promises. but i will give it a whirl :)

Hello have you made any progress with cwm, I appreciate your work :) thank you

you need to extract the whole zip then run the script not just open the zip up

Hello have you made any progress with cwm, I appreciate your work :) thank you

cwm is a risky subject, your bootloader could be lockled and as such if someone flashed a test build it will break their phone. i dont have a tester willing to try that yet so...

Yeah I have extracted to desktop

The windows command line will say that if it cannot find adb.exe, since the executable adb is being called. I'm guessing you're not in the right directory.

Make sure you hold shift, then right click, and open a cmd window in the folder where you extracted the zip file.
