Root [OUDHS] Soft Brick and CWM recovery support

Whn I install the files given in the OP Th either say APPS or RECOVERY... I think I need it to say system because I dont have an operation system... Please help

you formatted your system partition which we still don't have a working backup for. you downloaded the custom recovery which only gives you a recovery.it does not give you the android os. you're gonna have to wait until there's one ready.

OK sorry for starting a new thread:

So I flashed the custom recovery and I did a backup. Now all of a sudden I have no space on my phone's internal memory . Where did the backed up files go? Can I delete them to restore the space on my phone? I guess I should have selected backup to external Sd card. It seems when I search under the data folder, there is over a gig of files in there.

P.S. There is no clockworkmod file on my actual phone's internal storage.

The reason this happens is because Android now uses a tool called fuse to link the sdcard to /data. I have no idea why thats a good idea, except for continuity between devices, but my Galaxy Victory doesn't seem to have the problem, which might be an accident. There is a mod, or, I'm sure it can be modded in. Read this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2022727

Updated the OP with new CWM. Again, making edits to the fstab so we can mount all partitions. Please try the mounting option and choose to see the log. I think it's in advances options. Thanks.

Oh, and I made a nice custom wallpaper for it too. Let me know if it should stay or go.

you need to flash CWM via odin. then you can use a backed up good image to restore to your phone. this is how i fixed my phone. i have one that i would be willing to share but you have to do a factory reset immediately after you install it. even though i don't have anything earth shattering some of my personal info may be attached. Surely I say unto thee thou WORLD SHALT DISINTEGRATE should thou dare taketh advantage of my help.

I have plenty of web hosting space and bandwidth.

:)

That is great so first i will enter download mode and install the cwm from the OP via pda on odin? Then get you file from where? once i get it instal that now with odin using pda and factory reset and everything should go well?

yeah if winrar didn't take so dang long it'd be done now. i am a comcast employee so i have a 10 Mbps upload rate...should be a fast upload once I'm compressing it.

already did...it's in the "pseudo stock rom idea?" thread. also interloper just uploaded a stock rooted rom so my method may be obsolete. if that doesn't work i'll put my method up just in case.
