Our days are numbered?

Motorola Triumph is about to get a serious contender in the Virgin Mobile lineup. Later this year, I don't know when, but the HTC One V will come to VM
HTC One V Product Overview - HTC Smartphones

Has a 1ghz processor, 480x800, 3.7in screen, 5MP camera, Sense 4 and Ice Cream Sandwich.

This phone doesn't look to be a cheap rebranding so I'm excited to see a quality built phone on VM lineup. Although I'm sad to say I won't be getting it due to the poor signal quality in my state. I might not even keep my MT.

I like the design of the mt a little better than the new htc, plus the bigger screen...
As for the signal, where i live i get 1 bar EVERYWHERE in my town, with other vm phones i would have 3+ bars so its most likely you mt

I agree. About the signal, is there any way to boost reception? I've heard a lot about bad reception on the MT but looking at the coverage map it makes me think it's a fault of the signal not the MT.

For one thing don't tell the signal by the bars... It's inaccurate as anything can be. To know your signal check settings>about phone> network> and the dBm. -60 is a perfect signal and -120 is a horrible signal. The closer it is to -60 the better your signal is. There have been many rumors that the One V will be coming to VM. Yes it's not confirmed, but if it does come to VM it will be miles better than the MT besides a few things (non removable battery, slightly smaller screen, no hdmi out, and no front facing camera). It may seem the same/ worse than the MT on paper, but HTC is a good company that make quality items.

It will cost Way to much So Im Going to Stick with my Triumph as long as i can it will cost like 500 dollars or more Maybe. Nice Phone Though

My signal is -109 on the regular. I had read about the optimal signal levels so that is why I said my signal was bad.

About the One V coming to VM, I read it through Google News, landed on this website: HTC One V heading to Metro PCS, Virgin Mobile and US Cellular - SlashGear
mine is -93, never got a drop call in the Los Angeles Metro, no need to change the carrier. especially after the horrible 3g experience with TMobile (I pay around $ 400 to get the family out of them)

If it was the S or the X (lol yeah right) I'd snatch it up. As of right now it's basically a triumph that's a bit faster, but a smaller screen.

I'll probably pass it unless the mod community moves over there and starts making awesome roms.

Would be nice, you have to remember though, there a couple different Virgin Mobile's in different areas of the world, that are COMPLETELY different from Virgin USA. If you look over at Virgin Mobile CA they have a large amount of high end phones. While it's likely it's coming to us because of the mention of the other prepaid carriers, I wouldn't bet on it until Virgin announces it themselves. Would be nice though. I might make the switch if I have extra spending money at the time just so I can have a higher audio volume and sense.

Why does Canada get all the better phones and we get nothing.. not only that they aren't full price.. Why is that? its not fair

Virgin mobile in Canada isn't a prepaid company, are a regular contract company. That's why they get lots of nice phones.

Virgin Mobile USA is not the same as the Virgin Mobile in other countries. Here it is a subsidiary of Sprint. Elsewhere it is it's own company and is associated with Virgin (the one owned by Richard Branson). So that is why they have different phones/plans and all that, they are not the same company.

This may be why VMUSA has been holding off on ICS for MT. After these new phones have been released they may upgrade MT.
