My phone was happilly synching with outlook in office 2007 but since it tried and failed to update the software on the computer it does not work.

How do I get it working again

Which software? HTC Sync? Do all the other functions of HTC Sync work properly?

I am not sure i Know of other functions of htc sinch only ever used it with outlook. Its windows vista. I want to reinstall the software but its telling me its already there so why wont it launch

Can you uninstall completely, then try starting from scratch?

You should provide more details, like what kind of phone, which version of the OS, which email app, what kind of account (IMAP, POP), etc. Are you having trouble syncing email or contacts or calendar?
