overclock question...

Hey guys, i just rooted my hero last night and threw on CM6, let me say, much better than 2.1 I have a quick question though, i downloaded "setcpu" last night, and it will only let me go to 691mhz overclock, and as of right now my phone can ALMOST play psx4 droid, im running around 10 fps, and i need help figure out how to reach a Higher overclock to help out my fps....even if im wrong, can u still let me know how?

Hero will not run much faster (not 100MHz faster), but you can try another ROM / adjust your kernel to push the limit. Speed limit in ROMs is set, because the device might be unstable / damaged if you push it too high, but you can give it a try.

Have to flash an uncapped kernel [Kernel] BrainFuct Kernel - UncappedKernel - xda-developers

Also, you can overclock the newest nightly to 768 without flashing an uncapped kernel http://mirror.kanged.net/cm/nightly/heroc

I have success with the Overclock widget, no troubles here. Some use set cpu, I have not tried

if i have the unkapped kernel, how do i go into the settings to set the OC? do i just do it through the oc widget and the kernel allows it to go higher, or is there a setting that im not seeing

Set the OC widget to the home screen (menu, add, widgets, OverclockWidget) then press the widget and set your min and max

is there any way to hide the superuser notification that comes up every time you unlock the phone. I was using the OC widget but got tired of that notification popping up every time so just ditched it

Click on superuser app settings>disable notifications.
