Root Overclocking Freeze Issues

Ever since I overclocked about once every day to two days I noticed my phone will hang up when working on big processes (games etc) and will reboot itself. I'm not sure if this should be under support out root threads but since it is regarding root I threw it over here. Any ideas what might be going on?

If it's rebooting it sounds like your max voltage is too low. Increase that and it should fix it.

I figured that might be it. I'm using jrummy's app at 1300, 1000, 850, and 400mhz. what would recommended voltages be?

Understand that every phone's chip is different. It just has to work at 1ghz. My phone works fine at 1.35 ghz medium voltage, with no glitches. You just need to play around with it and get to know it.

Is there a Noob guide to beginning overclocking... Like I would want to run a slight overclock 1.15-1.2 at below stock voltages but where do I start at on the voltages like 50 and go down... or 40?
Is there like a comprehensive list of where ppl have OC'd the X and tell what Voltage @ Mhz they have been successful...

I know each phone is different but since they all use the same hardware theoretically there should be a "sweet spot" that 90% of X's would work at...

Have you read any of the existing threads on the subject? It's been well covered and there's lots of excellent advice available if you're just willing to spend a little time searching and reading. Here's a start in the right direction.

I used QuickClock and it turns out I was just under stable VSEL.
