If you check in settings/about phone it will probably say it's a BobZohme kernel.
Which ROM are you using? Harmonia 2 ,then yes it comes with the gapps? If yes it's a rock solid ROM that shouldn't be giving you any problems.
Make sure you wipe and format everything necessary before the install. If you leave any residual data on the system it will corrupt the new ROM.
The recovery can make a difference as well. If it's a Froyo ROM use Xionia v1.2518.6; if it's a CM-7 IHO ROM you want to use the VM670NH_recovery.img

I am glad to have just a tiny bit of overclock. I don't think I am going to ever touch it again haha.
