Root overclocking, setcpu, and liberty

I am interested in what you kids are doing with the under volting and over clocking.

I suppose I could just get Jrummy's app and follow the guide I have seen on the forum for overclocking.

I am now running Liberty on my phone and was under the impression that Jrummy's app came with it? Perhaps I am mistaken.

Is there a way in Liberty to achieve this without the Jrummy app? I see there is a setcpu script you can run within Terminal Emulator but I am not sure if this achieves this?

I appreciate any help you guys can give.

I was on Apex before which was my first ROM. you know what they say...you always remember your first :)

I am kind of torn between the two right now. Liberty does seem a little snappier but the couple of blur options that Apex has helps make it more polished I think.

There is overclock with liberty. Just go to terminal emulator.
Type overclock in.
All the instructions will pop up. Just follow them
I'm up to 1.25ghz. Ultra low voltage
Getting 1705 on quadrant score

awesome. I just had to dig around a little more it appears. it is crazy how addicting this all is...i might need to check into rehab or AA (android anonymous)

Is there much of a difference in overclocking methods? I am currently using the milestone app. Should I be using a different method for better performance? I'm using gummy Jar right now.

i am using the milestone app as well. i guess the advantages of the other o/c apps is that you can set different profiles as well as adjust each frequency and voltage setting. i like the milestone app though. for one its free and two it does exactly what i want it to do and i still have pretty good battery life

Can someone post their settings for overclocking using Liberty 1.5 Overclock? If so, thank you for your time I do appreciate it.

To all,
I would highly recommend purchasing JRummy's Droid Overclock app since it has many functions that go beyond the terminal scripts. Also, consider upgrading to Liberty 2.0.1. Its much improved over 1.5 in my opinion and I have been on Liberty since 1.0.

if i could also throw something out there...there is an app called QuickClock...and i use it in conjunction with jrummy's Droid Overclock app...

QuickClock has a couple cool built in features...it will test what the lowest voltages that your phone can run are...basically by lowering the voltage one by one until your phone shuts off...

then...based on the clockspeeds you want to run it will calculate the voltage for each one (it has a built in safety buffer so you don't go too low)...i use the numbers that QuickClock gives me and input them into Droid Overclock...
