Root Overclocking your DX

While I am waiting for the galaxy nexus or perhaps the razr I am trying to get the most of my DX and for a while now I have been thinking about installing Droid x overclock by jrummy. Just wondering if any one here is using the app. What type of clock speeds are you getting what are your overall thoughts.

I rooted with stock .605 gingerbread

I honestly dont know much about overclockng the x but I did a little with pcs a while ago. Ya you can get some boost but not a whole lot before it becomes unstable. I just installed the apex rom and my phone is running faster then it ever has. Give your phone a more efficient system so it doesnt have to work so hard instead of revving up the motor.

This is a very true statement. Try some different roms they will make your phone faster. If it's still not fast enough for you then try overclocking but be careful not to overheat your phone that speed up the decision of getting a new phone for you :(. A lot of the roms come with some sort of cpu boost or overclock built right in to the rom put that with the lack of bloat and or phone will be a lot more responsive.:D

I saw that once with CM7, but not with MIUI.

i have not tried it in awhile honestly...so idk if it effects the new ApeX or Liberty on my phone...but at least on all the GingerBlur builds jrummy's app would appear on my battery usage list...not a lot...but a few percentage points...QuickClock NEVER appears there...
