Help Overheat

My Esteem out of no where recently started over-heating. Why might cause this?

Its OC'ed to 1.5 but it never over heat when OC.

What temp did it get too? Did you get a pop up warning or something or just hot to the touch? I was messing with an overheat app a while back and 130 degrees was the 'danger zone'

Ive been OC'ed since i got installed Gingersteem, which was when it was released.

i really dont knot what temp it got too. Just hot to the touch.

That was normal on the Indulge. Normal as in a common defect.

You have an app running in the background my indulge used to do this when i installed yahoo messenger even while i closed yahoo messenger it was still running in the background and made my phone super hot!

Mine gets really hot when streaming iheart radio for a long drive and kept in the little cubbyhole hole under the radio. Other then that it stays very cool.

lmao, this thread is wild, but long as the phone dont have a pop up warning or it doesn't shut off than you are fine, long as you use your phone it will get hot. i been clocked @ 1.8 for the longest and it gets hot sometimes depending on what i may be doing but still runs good.

At STOCK my phone got to 111f!!! On stock 1ghz with overclock rom. I just let it sit and it was fine. Whatever you do dont put it in a fridge or freezer or the boards might bend

Take a closer look, that is not for the Esteem.

its the radio for 4g causing it, no real fix for til the radio gets updated. Its also a battery hog,

Not at all. I even kill any running apps. Some times if I leave the phone with the screen up, it heats up. So I have to make sure that the battery side is up (screen down) so the battery can "breathe" in a way. Today I haven't gotten that problem tho, hopefully it was a couple days thing. This heatwave in NY isn't helping tho.
