Root Oxygen ROM

have rooted and flashed Oxygen v2.0-RC7 yesterday...i have 2 issues only...(gingerbread without HTC apps and sense is Faaaaaaast )

2 same as above but this time with swype keyboard...i choose it as deafault - restart phone..nada..android is back again..

both apps do work if i do not restart phone....anyone has same issues?

also the LED notification is not working?just got a mail and no blinking :P

I just installed Oxygen myself, but I'm having one hell of a problem: I did a big backup with Titanium Backup before I flashed the ROM, but now I can't seem to get hold of anything... what is happening? I can't even seem to access anything on my SD card, and I'm being told there are no apps in it, which is rather annoying, as I don't want to have lost 9 months of stuff, including apparently all of my pictures etc. Is there anything I can do to remedy this?

Also, does anyone know how to get rid of the 3D app drawer? It's just not for me...

So you are saying that the phone cannot read the card at all? What does "Settings->Storage" say about the card?

If you can't read the card from the phone, can you read it from a computer? If you haven't got a suitable card reader, can you see it by connecting the phone and selecting USB storage (disc drive) mode? If you can't do this from the ROM, boot into recovery, select "mounts and storage" then "mount USB storage" (instructions for clockwork recovery) - that should work even if the ROM is messed-up. If you can do that, then back up the entire card (including hidden files/directories, i.e. those with names starting with ".")

Apart from that, I'm hoping it's something obvious like the ROM hasn't mounted the card for some reason. I've not met this problem, so would only have generic suggestions like "try removing and reseating the card" or "restore from your nandroid, check the card's OK, then try installing Oxygen again".

Thanks, man, I took the card out, put it back in... then realised I hadn't downloaded Titanium Backup on the new ROM... I felt rather stupid, haha.

I still can't seem to work out how to sync my facebook contacts with my google contacts, though, I think I must just me missing something simple.

Ha, well I'm glad it was something simple :)

Actually I did think of that, but when you were worried about losing pictures I assumed it was more than just a Ti problem.

Can't help with facebook though - it's not something I use.

No worries about Facebook, either, now. For some reason my contacts synced up with my Facebook account without any problems this morning. :)

However, I still have one niggling problem: The bloody app drawer. Is there any way to get a normal one, instead of the 3D one?

The 3d drawer is the style that the Nexus One introduced, and I think is probably the Android 2.x default. I've never seen a setting to change it for the default launcher.

You can work around it by using a third-party launcher though - Launcher Pro, which I use, offers 2d and 3d options, and when I last used ADW that also offered a choice of app drawer styles.

Yeah, I went back to LauncherPro Plus just now, as it goes. :) I thought I could live with the fancy new vanilla, but I wasn't a fan.

Sorry to ask one more question, but do you know how I can sync my own facebook picture to my account, as I'm sick of sending texts with no picture of me showing up. :(

You speak blasphemy, good sir! Well, not really, but still.

Worked it out, sort of. I couldn't link to my Facebook account, so I just manually saved my current picture and set that as my own picture.

I'm running RC7 but having some issues. Sometimes apps won't install even though I've got plenty of a2sd+ space left. It'll take like 3 or 4 attempts. And then I am getting a lot f signal dropping too. Can anyone recommend a decent radio that might alter this? I'm current running 32.47.00.32U_5.10.05.23.
