Root P.A.C.MAN Update

I just run the evo 3d build. MMS is the only thing that doesn't work unless flashing the fix if running the 3d build on the evo v.

The cool advantage is that it will say Sprint and no one will know your phone is on Virgin Mobile. :P

Duhh!! I totally forgot to flash the Acid mod last night, no wonder sound wasn't up to par.

Manually added the MMS fix to the ROM zip (I found that this way is the best way to replace things in the rom). Deleted DSPManager.apk. Added PHotosphere camera. Added the video recording fix.

Clean flashed the rom and did the Acid mod installation according to the OP.

Everything seems to run smoothly so far. Can't wait for CMB to put up his new build. :P

I was on the official EVO 3D thread for this ROM and couldn't find out what the Pa in Pa+AOKP+CM stood for.

I'm staying clear of this rom for now. I've been getting the wake issue where after the phone has been asleep for a while it won't wake up. Screen would not turn on until you pull the batter and restart. I changed min clock to 432MHz using Kernel Tuner and it still happens.

Cool rom though I was having an issue with the default mail client. First when setting it up the next and back buttons would overlap. After set up the left column directory would take up about 80% of the screen leaving on 20% for listing mail on the right. The only way I could read my mail is if I put the phone into landscape by turning it sideways.

Go to hyprid properties. Then change dpi for Email to 160 dpi. it should help

Just so you don't get confused, he meant 360 not 160 :)
I think there's only two options anyway, 600 and 360 so you probably wouldn't have gotten confused anyway I suppose...

160 is correct :p. Those two options are in the layout/UI tab. Change the dpi of Email (in the size tab) to 160 if you want to keep it hybrid looking. If you want the stock look, change the value in the layout/UI tab from 600p to 360p.

Oops :o

Thanks for clarifying :)

:) I had the same issues with Email apk. so I changed it to 160 and it keeps it hybrid looking with two sides and you can read everything fine.

New version 22.0.1 for Sprint CDMA and VM are up!

VM version is running very smooth. CMB said a lot has been fixed.

According to CMB, the frequency not sticking and cpu staying at 486 Max after sleep has been fixed.

I'll be on this all day testing to see if the "not waking up after sleep" issue on VM has been resolved.

:wavey:

I have never had a wake up issue, other than it taking a second or two sometimes. other than that... I use pacman as my daily. :D

I flashed the latest Sprint version and I'm getting the black Youtube issue. Wondering if there's a way to fix it...

So should I go Sprint w/MMS fix or go VM and does it need anything other than GApps after that?

I prefer the Sprint because it hides "Virgin Mobile" stuff on the Lockcreen and Pulldown Menu. :D

I do the 10.1 MMS fix which is here:
http://androidforums.com/evo-v-4g-all-things-root/648971-zip-mms-fix-cm-aosp-aokp-thanks-wolfu.html

Previous versions of PacMan had GPS issue as well as Video Recording. Nothing was mention about those being fixed in the Latest Version yet.

My steps for flashing Pacman Sprint is as follow:
Put the libOmxVenc.so in the /lib folder in the rom zip replacing the existing libOmxVenc.so to fix video recording.
1. Flash rom
2.Flash GAPPS
3.Flash MMSfix
4.Flash GPSfix
5.Flash Wimax log cleaner

Reboot

Profit!!

You might also want to flash the Acid Mod for better sound quality

Does anyone know the default dpi so that an app will look normal?

I wanna switch the youtube app dpi to normal and see if it would fix the "black everything but the playing youtube video" issue

Default density for the Evo 3D/V is 240.

Is anyone else here running the latest shootervm build? Is the gps and video recording working properly now or do we still need to flash the fixes?

This is just going to sound stupid....

I installed this ROM for the first time yesterday and I'm loving it! I was setting up my widgets and while swiping through them, I accidentally hit the Calculator widget and dropped it on my home screen. Now, I can't remove it and it's persistent when I swipe through my home screens. Also, there are no settings in the Calculator app itself for the widget.

A long press and dragging to the remove area doesn't work.

How do I kill this widget?!?

TIA for any help....

Never mind, I rebooted the phone and it went away….. (see reason for editing)

After floating around the web and seeing about the youtube blackscreen issue not just from pacman but other 4.2.2 JB roms as well, I think that might just be a problem with the youtube app itself. So there's pretty much nothing we can do about it until google fixes it.

Latest is 4.3.9 so maybe an older youtube version won't have the problem.

I just got a GooManager update notification but it brought me to a Wild For The Night ROM. I think I remember reading somewhere PACMAN was built off it like a lot of other ROMS are which is probably why it popped up. Ignore it?

Couple Questions about the last update.

- I cannot change my weather widget from Celsius to Fahrenheit
-Is there a way to have 3d homescreen

Thanks in advance.
