PAC Rom 4.2.2 External SD issues

Hello all, I posted this question on XDA as well but, with this rom and the Cerux 1.47 kernel, i'm having issues transferring files via PC to external sd. Internal is fine, a bit slow, but it works. However, when I do any file transferring to the external sd, regardless of what it's from ie flash drive to external, even the internal sd to external, it freezes. Is this CM issue, AOKP, or something else? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I haven't tried the PAC rom but I have the same issue with CM 10.1. I don't remember if it freezes copying from internal to external but trying to copy from PC to sd card freezes every time.

So I found a quick fix, although it doesn't solve the whole issue. However, if you were to go into Storage then the menu on the top right, and select USB computer connection then MTP or Mass Storage. I prefer MTP because it seems more stable and doesn't require you to enable usb storage on your phone.
