Root Paid for apps after rooting?

Cant seem to find the answer to this one... just a quick one...

I am rooting my desire on weds, i have done a backup of everything using mybackup pro. I will also do a complete copy of my sd card before rooting. I know i can restore my paid for apps using the backups, but will the market still authenticate my purchases when an update is available or will i encounter problems??? I have read about the "fingerprint" but not much for the desire.
I just dont want to lose the apps i paid good money for (albeit not a lot )

the apps you have paid for are attached to your gmail address. So you'll be able to download them again (without paying again) from any phone you buy in the future.

Just make sure that the market shows the app as installed, once restored. If it just says purchased then it knows you have purchased it but thinks its not installed so you wont be notified of updates.

If this happens, uninstall using whatever method you like and reinstall via the market.
