Root Paired but not connected

error message keeps popping up and numerous attempts to pair and connect the evo4g with a PC running XP and a laptop running Linux Mandriva 2010.

The EVO WILL PAIR (with both XP and Linux ) but loses itself when the password prompt asks for a passkey. It looks like it momentarily connects but then disconnects.


The BT keyboard DOES work with XP and with Linux.


The Evo is loaded with CM7 Supersonic 7.0.3.1 stable ROM and SavagedZen kernel (2.6.38.7 CFS HAVS+)
Android 2.3.3

If any sage advice will help I'll try it.

try wiping dalvik cache and cache and see if that works. also check this out:Use your EVO as a "Desktop PC", Now With CM7 Goodness!!! - xda-developers i don't know if any info there will help but it might.

to LokiFish on that link you inserted. It has worked like a charm.

As for the davlik cache.... is this like temporary internet cache?

I am not familiar with routinely wiping this cache so I assume it is entirely
safe to do for maintenance periodically?

yep you go into recovery and wipe. i usually do this whenever i encounter a glitch or get errors. usually works most of the time.
