Mine is working now, I tried it on my office PC.hehehe...installed HTC sense and accompanying drivers and it was detected. I think it has something to do with the PC you are using.

interesting, you are trying to use htc sync to sync the files? not enable it as mass storage

on your second screenshot you have removable drive f: 3.68gb
is that not your phone? if it is then are you able to access the files on the sdcard?

as for sync, make sure on your phone you pull down the notification bar and click htc sync.
then the sync program should find it.

Yes drive f is the phone and I can transfer stuff in and out using this method but it is far from ideal. There is no "htc sync" on my pull down menu.....hmmmm

well this issue is different as people on this thread were saying there devices were not working with the pc at all not even mass storage, your problem is that it doesnt work with htc sync

there should be a sync option when you connect it.
I dont have sense installed any more but it should say Charge only, Disk drive, Sync with computer (or something) when the device is connected.

if it doesnt then may i ask if you are using a custom rom?

also another thing to ask is what you are expecting from htc sync?
I have not found a need for it yet, mainly because mass storage is best for music and files as its the fastest
all my contacts are stored within google mail
