Help Peeling Finish :-/

Will clear nail polish work to make it shiny and nice after penny scraping or will it just peel off like the original coating?
 
Yup, used the penny too yesterday. Looks good! Did you guys also do the underside of the kickstand? Mine is starting to peel there too, but didn't feel like doing it.
 
I used the penny trick, and conveyed the info to my neighbor at work who also has a thunderbolt, we both send our thanks for the info. To add a little of my own help, using a new penny works better, as it has sharper edges to scrape the material off. My neighbor tried to do it with an old one and it was taking way longer.
