Root perfect storm 1.5

I haven't, had awful battery life on TPS no matter what I did. Chingy is a great developer. Make a backup and give it a try
 
Thanks for the feedback guys. 1.5 actually just came out last night and there was no change log. I was curious as to if it was still froyo or not. As for batt life, with perfect storm, an extended batt, i'll be on my phone alllllll dayyyyyy long with a good amount to spare at bedtime. My phone just likes these roms. I wouldnt trade them for any of the others. Happy friday!
 
1.5 is froyo. its based off the new mr2 that was just leaked and of course uses the new mr2 radio.
thought about trying it myself but i need netflix.
 
I have been using it since the MR2 leak and it runs as smooth as butter. I'm using it WITH the MR2 leak and have decent battery life (as far as I know - I'm comparing to stock which I'm not sure I even had a battery in the phone it drained so fast).

1. GPS is quick. 3-5 second lock on.
2. Wifi is as quick if not quicker for lock on.
3. Signal seems to be better with MR2. However, since there are 6 bars with this ROM I don't know if the correlation is the extra signal bars vs the 4 bars.
4. No lag, no stutter.
5. I am using Launcher Pro and it has had no problems with lag or integration.

For battery, I have been watching standby and it seems to be just fine in regards to drain. I was amazed at how the sucker would drain in standby mode prior to using a ROM not Perfect Storm, so I attribute that to the radio maybe not looking for signal. I am in a touchy area between 1x and 3g signal (weird spot) and it seems to hold the signal. I sincerely wish the Netflix app would work, but am sure someone in the genius that is the XDA forum, will fix it. I really like this ROM, but have issues with changing the framework for my theming, but if you are interested in speed and what I would say is decent/good battery life, you are good to go. Other than Netflix not working, it's a winner for me right now.
 
I think I'm going back to this from GB roms I've been trying.

I ran 1.4 perfect storm for a while and it was so stable. I love some of the GB stuff but haven't found a rom I trust enough yet to keep it on. Also nothing with all sense 3.0 yet is there?

I also like how stable it is. Should have mentioned that. BAMF has a 3.0 out that is REALLY nice eye candy but wasn't working for me in the signal department and I really didn't mess with the radio's to see what was best with it. Was still a little buggy for me in camera and overall performance using Launcher Pro. I know LP defeats the purpose of the new Sense look, but I just love LP too much.

Loved perfect storm but I'm totally onboard with Th3ory's new stuff now.

Running 3.5.1 and added in the honeycomb battery mod. MR2 radio and the kernel Th3ory suggests (although thats being upgraded again very soon).

This last version is CRAZY smooth and fast on my TB. Only thing I still can't figure out on GB is wireless hotspot. Sometimes it still works for me... other times it won't turn on.

Highly anyone check it out... top contender right now... and the candy store idea is great. ROM is ALL about speed and stability... and then a growing list of mods are available to customize it any way you want.

I found that 2.1 of Theory was not that great. 3.5 seems a little behind Perfect Storm right now... BUT if it is not by much. AKA its pretty good and I have only been running it for about a day. Also... I haven't "calibrated" my battery yet as I left my charger somewhere last weekend and have just been walking around with a usb cord or using my car charger :P

Most on the XDA thread seem to be very impressed with the battery and Th3ory really swears by bump charging on his setup.

aka I made it through yesterday without any issue and was able to not charge it during night until I made it to work computer this morning.
 
Yesterday, my battery life was about what I had on stock. Today it's gone to sh**. I check the usage and the sensor is on 100% of the time. I saw this on my X, but it was only after a phone call (i haven't had any this morning). Anyone know of a fix to this?
