Phandroid and Androidforums.com's New Look!

Using Google Chrome, I just noticed this ad overlay issue.

As reported those are the only two issues I've come across the ad overlay and the menu in a different location i hope this helps :D

2 bugs to report:

1- the thread search feature does not work on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 (which is the reason that I don't know if #2 has been pointed out).

2- the website no longer renders properly on the Galaxy Tab 10.1 stock browser. There's an extra half inch black bar running down the right side of the screen when scrolling or zooming out. As far as i can tell this is the only website that will do that.

If it is any help, it seems to be related to quoting posts. Threads with no quoted posts are rendering fine.

I just found a bug that (I assume) is related to this install (since the timing would be eerily coincidental otherwise):

http://androidforums.com/faqs/608465-rss-feeds.html#post4875610

I can delete that post if it's answered here (or vice versa) -- for those of us that only subscribe to the forums, themselves; there's been nothing since June 22nd or so (around the time of this launch).

Can those please be re instituted? (or, if there's a place to find them, please point me in that direction!) Thanks!

Our pleasure. :)

Don't know if this will help, but we've got a pretty nice app just for our news site -

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.phandroid.droidpress

I also like following them on twitter using Tweet Lanes, nice phone app. :)

Of course - not the same as a forum feed, but thought I'd toss that out just in case, while we track this down. Escalated the question, so hopefully we'll have an answer soon.

Thanks for helping out with this ...

Obviously, the app for the news site is useful, but I actually find the community messages to be even better ... but, I don't want a feed of EVERYTHING (since there are phones/apps that aren't even compatible with what I have) -- I had subscribed to a bunch of specific forums, which I then read on a daily basis.

I'm hoping, it's as simple as just "turning the switch" back on :)

Thanks! I appreciate the follow-up.

Odd, I didn't think RSS feeds impacted server load (since the reading takes place OFF the site ...) -- do you have an "ETA" as to when they'll have an answer?

Thanks again ....

Should I start subscribing again? Or, do you want me to wait for an official "go-ahead?"

Thanks so much for the quick response to this situation!
