I looked at this after reading the heated debate between a few kernel devs on xda a couple of days ago.
I decided against giving it a go as I don't think it supports bln but i'm not sure.

Void.echo I found to be very good so it may still be worth a pop
 
I can confirm Bln DOES work :) first signs are very impressive and performance wise defo a step up from siyah 2.6.11. Gonna give this baby a go for a few days for battery as tolerating aggressive uv at the moment too
 
Just bought the phoenix tweaks app from the market. Costs 2.50 but allows all sorts of governors, schedulers, tweaks, performance/battery tweaks. much to play with and also much I don't understand. Don't think the missus is gonna get much conversation out of me for the next few days.

Ironass, we're gonna need one of you're guides to get the optimal settings for this......
 
comes with only deadline scheduler and lion heart governor.
Seems very smooth. Screen was dazzlingly bright for the first few minutes but eventually auto-dimmed, so not sure if there may be a sensitivity issue with the light sensor.

Promising early signs tho. I'll definitely come back to this one as I'll still in the process of siyah 2.6.11 testing.
 
Comes with a Phoenix-tweaked cwm recovery. Like the new hyperdroid recovery with siyah, it has red text, but I find it an easier red to read. Has no soft-key back support however.

That's less than the price of a pint! You need to replace the iron with tight ;)

It works very well without the 2.50 app, you certainly don't need it. I only bought it cuz I've got money to burn and was so impressed by the basic kernel.

I'll give it a day or 2 and report back on battery and what you actually get for 2.50.

Pulling your leg old thing!

Just never come across having to pay for an app that gives you schedulers and governors just so that it can compete with the likes of Siyah and N.E.A.K.

Please don't get me wrong, I'm all for developers being rewarded for all the time and effort that they put in to their projects. The likes of gokhanmoral and simone must spend hundreds of hours developing and honing their kernels.

However, it does seem strange that a relatively unknown kernel is charging

Of course I can do a guide for schedulers/governors and voltages for Void.

I'll just do what I always do...

Write all the options down on separate bits of paper and put them in a bag and give it a good shake and then draw them out one-by-one and stick them down as the settings! :D

(What... you thought I spent hours testing and refining them? :p )

OK, now I've calmed down a bit and given it a go for 24 hrs, here's a bit more of a balanced review:

The Good
1. Very quick and smooth (for me better than latest siyah)
2. Battery good - seems at least comparable with Siyah, no spurious wake locks, lots of deep sleep etc etc but i don't have hawker's scientific night-time drain test.
3. BLN works
4. Continues to tolerate my usual 75uv without a single issue
5. Updates itself over the air (alledgedly, not been able to test this one)
6. the loudness tweak makes volume very loud!!

All this is with the FREE kernel (!), using the stock (only) governer/schedulor

The Bad
1. No choice of all the other governors etc (unless you pay)
2. CWM app doesn't work

The Ugly

Very thorough and concise. Shame about CWM not working. However, from your report, I'd be more than willing to give the free version a try.

Interesting that the paid add-on actually gave you poorer performance overall.

Pheonix XDA thread has now been closed by mods.
There's been a bit of a stink developing with a few kernel developers on the lines of originality claims to the governors they use and it seems Pheonix has been put to the block.

This has been brewing for quite a number of days now and things have been getting out of hand. I only hope things like this dont put off the likes of Gokhan and Simone. I would hate to see the demise of either of these fantastic kernels.
