try using Revolutionary
this will also give you s-off and a hboot that will alow you to flash cid to fix the issue if it comes again

btw i see the standard htc cid is HTC__022

Did I not do this already in emulator as part of the usb brick fix?

The issue is what mtd0.img to use? I'm wondering if me putting SUPERCID in has screwed it. It's so confusing because none else has had this problem.

Well I'm S-off'd and rooted through Revolutionary and fastboot flash of Amon-Ra and root.

Prior to doing that I also changed my misc file to and flashed it like I did before with HTC__022 in an attempt for Unrevoked to work but I got the same error CE Serial InUse.

But my fastboot oem boot looks like this now:

INFODevice CID is super CID
INFOCID is super CID
INFOBackup CID is HTC__022
INFOsetting->cid::HTC_022

And I'm rooted and S-off so I guess I shouldnt complain. Gonna see if I can flash a rom now.

looks like revolutionary corrected the misc data upon flashing the hboot.
if its showing HTC__022 and you failed to flash it before then it must have done it.

if you every get a usb brick again you can just to fastboot flash misc mtd0.img to fix it

I changed it to HTC__022 by flashing the misc.img. I could put anything there

ahh the error was unrevoked.
its probably unrelated to the misc change. coincidence

Agree.

Running a stripped sense Rom with a2sd+ which is what I wanted until I have the patience to sort out an asop Rom and tweak everything until its perfect.
