Phone extremely laggy

My phone has been extremely laggy recently. The processor isn't just working nearly as well as it should be. I was curious if any of this has to do with me using a live background because i know that takes up more processor power. this has been happening ever since the update
 
When was the last time you restarted your phone or did a battery pull? My phone started lagging really badly today when I saw it had been up for 140 hours. Also, yes, live backgrounds can cause a bit of a lag.
 
Don't worry about a battery pull. Try using a static wallpaper to see if that resolves your issue.
 
althought i have never had a problem running a live wallpaper on this phone, it did slow down all my other phones terribly (OG droid, and Droid X)
 
My phone has suddenly become very laggy too. I don't run live backgrounds. And, have background data turned off most of the time.
 
How many text messages do you have? I know I had close to 2000 from my soon to be ex wife (and thats another story lol) My phone got major lag. its hard to pinpoint the cause as it could be rouge apps or to many widgets and so on. Just a trial and error thing there. When it comes down to it you just might have to do a Factory Reset and cure the problem that way.
 
Keep your text message and email counts low, and reboot your phone every few days to clear caches and free up some RAM.
