"Phone Info" app causes problems?
Has anyone else seen this problem?:
Even though it/they are not running, one or more of the "Phone Info" apps on Play Store cause(s) my Note II to randomly feeze, reboot, overheat, or DIE with a black screen and inoperative power button-requiring battery removal. (There are at least 5 apps on Play Store named "Phone Info", used for bringing up the hidden menu for selecting/deselecting 4G/3G)
I uninstalled "Phone Info" and the problems immediately went away.
On the recommendation of the tech at the Verizon store for 99 cents I installed the "4G Switch" app which -partially- works, and doesn't cause problems.
"Settings/More Settings/Mobile Networks/Network Mode" can set some of the modes that do not work in 4G Switch.
