Phone is acting like it's possessed. Seizure. Screen going crazy with phantom swipes.

I have read like 10 threads on this and have not seen any resolution other than "buy another one". Does anyone know about this issue? The phone is going haywire like a ghost is swiping everything. Phone is like having a seizure. WTF do I do??

Sounds like a bad digitizer possibly. Since that's a hardware issue, unfortunately "buy a new one" is not too far off.

If you are under warranty, get a replacement. Otherwise, you may try a screen/digitizer replacement yourself.

If it's a hardware issue, there is no amount of software changes that will fix it.

One thing you could try before replacing the device or screen is a factory reset. If the issue persists after that, it's pretty much guaranteed to be a hardware issue.

Honestly I have no idea... I don't follow the g2 closely because I don't own one.
So a factory reset did the trick huh? Interesting, I'm not sure what would cause that.

All I got is:

1.) clean the heck out of the screen
2.) remove any screen protector if #1 failed
3.) factory reset if 1 & 2 failed
4.) take it to a brick and mortar store and hope for an in person replacement (if carrier) or RMA

No, the factory reset did not fix it.
I will update this thread with any resolution.
Will prob. bring it to the store and try to exchange,.

I am having the same issue. It's as if someone is randomly tapping and semi-swiping various areas of the screen. It's rather annoying. Reboots didn't work. I kept it off overnight and it seemed fine the next day. A few days later (today) it just did it a little but stopped pretty quickly.

This is on a completely stock LG G2.

Keep us posted as you said. I look forward to hearing what you do/did.

Ijust had the same problem a couple days ago . my lgg2 screen was zoomin in and out and pressing things by itself as well as not turn on by double tapping the screen. I realized this was only happen when u was charging my phone with a different charger that read slow charging. As soon as u would disconect my phone from the charger, it would stop and work perfectly fine . hope this helps a little .
