Root Phone is getting really laggy... little help?

I am running MikG3.0 with the ICS theme. Lately my phone has been really laggy and when I exit games and stuff the SD card seems to have to load every time. Does a theme slow your phone down at all? And what things are safe to wipe without losing any app settings and game progress?
 
I'm using the same theme and ROM. Wipe dalvik cache/cache. You won't lose any data. It should help cure your lag. Also, themes could slow your phone down if there are issues with them. This ICS is pretty solid though. If you follow the devs thread on the theme, all known issues will probably be addressed.
 
yes it is always good to wipe dalvik cache and cache from time to time, especially if you are on one rom for and period of time. also it is always good to wipe if you notice that things start to slow down. for me i'm such a flashaholic that as soon as a new rom comes out i flash that. thus, i'm not on any one rom for long so i have to wipe when flashing.
 
Are you partitioned? The underlying problem could be that the SD card isnt fast enough.


If wiping dalvik cache and cache doesnt solve the problem I fear this may be the issue.
