Root phone is shot atleast i think?

long story short i got the phone for my bro. installed cwm, monster5.3with overclock .. the same as mine phone and my wifes phone. my and hers work perfect but this thing does not, worked ok for a lil while then it started to charge battery while not pluged in then that stopped then the random shutoff not reset, shutoff, reflashed rom again to monster 5.3 with overclock. i was gonna try to use the other monster rom with out the overclock but this damn this is stuck at the black samsung screen . wont boot into cwm nothing the only thing that i can it to do is download mode so i tried to reflash back to stock using odin and it passed...but im still :mad:getting the same black samsaung
 
Hi Spanky. I'm not really familiar with your phone, but have you tried pulling the battery for about 30 seconds and rebooting?

Sounds like ROM Manager was used on it-the result you have sounds similar. Have you tried to factory reset it :confused:
If I recall hold Volume Down rocker and power and back button simultaneously until the Samsung screen then release power button(press power 3 times) until reset screen appears.
If recovery is installed it should then take you to the CWM menu where you can flash a ROM or restore a backup to it.
 
If your computer recognizes the phone all hope is not gone- odd that using Odin to return to stock said passes but still no progress.
 
how are you using odin to restore the phone? like what button are you putting in the pda file in, the pda button or the one package button?
 
comp.recognizes the phone at samsung screen if dont power it on and have pluged in to charge the battery pic.. does nothing and i used odin with a one package tar (schr720_eh02_prerooted-pda.tar) i got from the forum
 
i found this and tried it (MetroPCS_R720_Admire_simple_upgrade_tool_FF18.exe) got from samsung website flash complete and still the same problem.. lmao wtf!!!!

If that was the upgrade to 2.3.6 and it failed I'm all it of options-sorry:(
 
try taking the battery out for awhile then put it back in and try to go into recovery when booting it up. i had a similar problem once and after i was done freaking out ;), i did that and was able to boot into cwm and did a factory reset and cache wipe and my phone booted.
 
Sorry about that. I have been informed that Kies doesn't connect to the Admire. I was under the impression that there was a version of Kies for every Samsung model.
 
try odin one more time except this time dont use the one package option. make sure its unchecked on the left side and that auto reboot, protect ops and reset time are checked. use the pda button to put in the file
