Help Phone just won't turn on

My Optimus V wasn't plugged up or anything. It was just sitting here on my computer desk. I had used it not even an hour before and it was fine, then I go to press a button and get no response. The screen stays dark and no button will turn it on. I even plugged my phone up to see if I could get a response but nothing.

Do I have to get a new battery? Replace my phone? I bought my phone from Amazon so will Virgin even replace it?

Try pulling the battery for at least 30 seconds, press the power button while the battery is out. Replace the battery and try again. Second... is it rooted and did you install a new ROM??

I just tried to and I'm still getting no response from it. And I have no idea what rooted or new ROMs are so... no. I haven't done either of those. lol

Did you buy it new from Amazon?? If so I'd try to get it replaced. It's a long shot but I actually did this... take battery out, plug it in (without battery). It should come up with something like "Need battery installed stupid". Also try inserting battery while holding the power button in (unplugged).

No, I bought it Used - Like New from Amazon. I'll try taking the battery out and charging it without it... Not sure what to do now.

LG has a 1 year warranty on there phones. If Amazon won't take it back then you might try LG.
I'm pretty sure yogi4 was just trying to help you trouble shoot your problem. If after you take the battery out and plug the phone into the charger and the phone comes on enough to show what he talked about then its the battery that needs replacing. If it doesn't come on then you need to replace the phone
If you want to be double sure, try to see if you can get someone you know with a "V" to let you put there battery in your phone to see if it's the battery that's the problem.

Its back on!!! I took the battery out and let it charge without it and the screen popped up telling me it needed a battery, put it back in and now its back to life! Thanks!
