Root phone keep freezing then reboot

So every time after I use the web browser for 3-5 mins, my Lg optimus V will freeze and then reboot itself. I am currently flash to cm7, can any one help me out? Thanks.

Which build of CM7 are you on (who made it?) What browser are you using? Does your phone vibrate (five times in the pattern of two, pause, three) during the freeze just before the reboot?

the cm7 backside IHO version, and nothing happen before it freezes and reboots. It just freezes at any time. I use the stock browser and dolphin too.

Okay, without the vibration, it isn't an app crashing. BACKside is very stable (I use it). When did you last flash your phone? Jerry posted an update for the ROM yesterday. Do you notice any kind of slow down, or does it happen without any warning at all?

What CPU speed are you running? Have you run the fix permission option in the recovery?

i did fresh install, but didn't do fix permission though. And i didn't overclock the cpu. So what do i do ? Just go to recovery mode to do the fix permission thing?

If that doesn't work to fix your problems you will need to do a fresh download and install. Go here http://androidforums.com/optimus-v-...m-cm7-green-machine-theme-45.html#post3661219 After you have downloaded the ROM zip right down the md5 sum #.
Then go here http://androidforums.com/optimus-v-...m-cm7-green-machine-theme-45.html#post3665196

If you always check the md5 sum it will keep you from installing a bad download.

When you install the ROM you might think about wiping cache, dalvik, and "wipe data/factory reset" as well as formatting the boot, cache, data, and system ..

I even install obijohn's update wiper zip first, before installing the ROM and Gapps just to make sure there's no residual data leftover to corrupt the new install.
I don't use it on an update, just fresh installs.

The update wiper zip can be found here [ROM+Kernel] ~*~ Bumblebee 2.4 ~*~ (6/25/2011) - Android Forums at AndroidCentral.com

ok, here is the update: When I tried to fix permission, it says fixing permission... and takes for ever, so I took out the battery to reboot the phone, guess it is not working either. Then I tried to use xscope as a different browser,it didnt work, I mean it freezes around some where and reboot. At this point, I think I would try what Andy said, see what will happen, and will give you guys update. Thank you all for the help, hope the problem can be solved.

The fix permission can take up to 10 to 12 minutes. When your watching your phone it seems like twice that.

Finally, everything works flawlessly. Thank you so much for every one who helped me here. What I did is I refresh installed the newest rom which is provided by Andy's link and followed his guide. Wiped everything, format and even fix permission worked( took 3 secs, maybe cause I format all the data). So I am very happy now with smooth we browsing. Thanks every one again and happy holidays.
