Help Phone locks up after talking on it

when i am done talking sometimes the phone will not respond. i can't get it to end the call or anything and the all of a sudden it just wakes up. does any one have any suggestions?
 
It does that with my phone and my brother's. It just happens with the phone, we have to deal with it and hopefully it'll change in a future firmware update.
 
If you are using a screen protector or a decal skin, make sure the space around the proximity sernsor is cut out enough. Most of the ones I have seen try to be clever and just punch tiny holes or no holes at all. A quick snip to enlarge that area totally resolved my problem.
 
netizenmt is right. I have heard of the same solution working on other phones. Before my Ally I owned the wonderful Chocolate Touch (yes I'm being sarcastic). The phone would commonly freeze after making a phone call. Unfortunately I never looked into the problem, mainly because I figured it only froze because it really is a piece of garbage.
