Help Phone not turning on? Please Help!

Another problem with my captivate...

I tried to software update my phone and it said that the phone needed to restart so I let it restart. Now the phone wont turn back on! What should i do?!

It doesnt even seem like my computer is recognizing it, when i plug it in

If you don't have it rooted or have a custom rom installed I would call warranty.

If this was the official 2.1 update through AT&T that you tried to download Over the Air, you might be in for a warranty replacement.

The OTA update probably hard bricked your phone...

Well I used Odin to return it to factory settings. Then I tried to software update and now it won't turn on. Will me using Odin void my warranty?

Yes, but the jury is out whether they'll detect what happened in your case.
