Help Phone Storage Space Low Message-help needed

cincylaw

Newbie
I've been getting the phone storage space low message for a couple weeks.

Tried some solutions on this site (delete apps, install to SD card, etc.), but basically at this point, if I can't have more apps than this, what's the point?

I've removed about 1/3 of my apps. So, other than things the phone won't let me erase, I have:

Facebook, Weatherbug, Adobe FlashPlayer, Google Maps, Lotus Installer, Sprint TV, Market, Notes Traveler, Adobe Reader, Blockbuster, Dolphin Browser, Kids Alphabet, Star Wars Puzzle, Amazon mp3, ESPN Radio, Sprint Football Live, Angry Birds, NASCAR, Astro, Voice Search, You Tube, Google Search, Appbrain, Trip It, Cut the Rope, Note Everything, Our Groceries, My Backup Pro, Timeriffic, UPM, Multicon and Brightness Level

I know people have more apps than that. I have had more than these installed before but now the error won't disappear.

Any ideas other than backup, factory reset?

Thanks ocnbrze.

I don't know that I have the knowledge or time to read all the posts on how to root (in order to do it correctly).

knowledge can be obtain and learned. time on the otherhand is different. if you have the time we can walk you through the process. but that is up to you. htc designed the evo with a flaw in the size of the ram for the phone. it is my only gripe on a great phone. the only way really to get around this is to root the phone and partition it.

Would you mind walking me thorough a similar issue, or answering some questions next time you are around and available? This issue, or something similar, has crippled my phone over the last few weeks/months, and my digital communication is now becoming unbearable. Let me know! I would greatly appreciate your help!

Hello and welcome to the forums! :D

It looks like you're thinking about partitioning your SD card in order to gain more space on the internal memory of the phone? You'll need to be rooted first.

I would suggest going on over to EVO 4G - All Things Root - Android Forums and checking out out how to root guide. Its got tons of information.
