If I have a phone upgrade that is scheduled in December, does that mean I'm eligible to upgrade? I'm not exactly sure when my contract ends because I'm on a family line.

If not, then I will just purchase it at full price. This phone is too good to miss! :)

Not necessarily. I can upgrade now, but my contract doesn't end until 12-2011. You can look online.
 
yes you get an upgrade

It's $200 after $100 mail-in rebate when it comes out July 15—the bonus is that they're pulling an AT&T, so anybody eligible for an upgrade anytime in 2010 can upgrade immediately.

I just got off the phone with Verizon customer service. The representative said they have not been trained on the Droid X or the upgrade policy at this time. I assume you are referring to the "primary line" annual upgrade. I'm in the same boat and hoping for the same.

ditto im in the same boat ... hopefully by weeks end or early next week they have an idea .. if vzw wants to sell phone they will let anyone with annual upgrades left do it bc everyone will jump on this phone
 
I just got off the phone with VZW and they confirmed that if your contract is up or you are eligible for an annual early upgrade in 2010 you can get the DX for the upgrade price. My anual upgrade is December 22nd so I just barely made it in.

My annual upgrade is July 30...but those 15 days would have been the woooooooooooooorst.
 
Quick question that i hope someone can answer. I have a secondary line that is eligible for an upgrade or discounted equipment on September 9 2010. Am I eligible for the early droid X upgrade?
 
well when i added the extra lines i actually ended up just giving the main line to my little brother so i use the secondary line that is eligible for the upgrade...therefore i should be ok correct?
 
So it looks like the contract end date has to be in 2010? My contract ends in 2011 but I have an annual upgrade available in 2010.
 
So you can only get the deal if your Contract is up in 2010 or is it if your eligible for a upgrade in 2010? Not even the Verizon reps no the answer, Someone please find this out please !!!
 
The annual upgrade sometime in 2010 doesn't make any sense. So you could have upgraded your phone December 30th 2009, now only 6 months later you are eligible for the Droid X at the $199 price? Seems too good to be true.

They wanna seLl phones they don't care
 
I called yesterday and they had no idea anything about it. The guy I talked to said they usually don't know about new phones until the day before it is released unless someone like myself makes him aware.
