Hi guys. Just want to say thank you to everyone here with all the custom roms and help, ive been using for a long time now. Awesome work. my phone died during a backup in clockworkmod and now it wont turn on. it has the red light for charging but no animation on the screen. I tried turning it on multiple times and clockworkmod wont even turn on.My phone was having issues like not being able to send or recieve texts and send or recieve phonecalls the past few days, but i doubt that may be the problem. I cant turn it on, Please any help, thank you all

first thing to try is a battery pull.
hold the power button down for a few seconds and reinstall battery.
When you get it booted, delete that backup and make a new one.

If it was during a backup then it should not affect anything except maybe the SD card. I would suggest removing the battery for a few minutes, press the power button a couple of times, then put the battery back in and let it charge for at least 10 minutes before you try to turn it on. I would also try to start it with the SD card out just to be sure that nothing got corrupted. If it was during a restore then that is a different case all together. Post some more details after you try charging for a minute, so we can help you better. Also, I have to mention this, if you have the USB cable connected, you cannot access recovery or download mode. Hope this helps.

Ok, just to clarify, are you unplugging the phone when you take out the battery? Also, what exactly is happening when you try to turn the phone on? Did you try to boot with the SD card out? Do you have a computer running linux? You may be able to check if any of the partitions got corrupted when the battery ran out, in linux. Also, I would take one more stab at unplugging the phone and removing the battery for maybe 20 min, just to be sure. Then let the phone charge for few minutes before you try to turn it on. Everything points to a battery/charging issue. I've had my phone do this before, but not while backing up. But I have just pulled the battery while a backup was running, when I didn't mean to do a backup, and had no issues.
