Help Phone won't charge after replacing screen

After replacing a broken screen(the phone was working fine after the screen was broken), I can't get the phone to charge. The phone doesn't work with a cm7 ROM either, after booting it shows android system at the top with a black screen and the notification bar then shuts off. Froyo ROMs work fine but won't charge and the usb connection to computer still works. In about it will show not charging wen it's not plugged in and discharging when it is plugged into ac or usb. With the phone off when I plug it in it shows the red led at the top like its charging for say 5 seconds then it shows a battery with a temp gauge in the middle of it and everything goes black again. I've tried opening it back up and reseating the cables but same thing, also tried two batteries both of which were working fine before replacing the screen.

Any ideas?

A wire or trace may have been damaged. Could be one of the chips as they run at voltages less than 5v. If you think about it we feel a shock somewhere around 3000v. It could have gotten zapped.

That really your best guess?

I was very easy on the MB. Using Froyo ROMs with 2 apps installed, ES Explorer and MX Player, it just keeps rebooting. Wiping and reflashing fixes it but after installing those apps and obviously setting up gmail so I can download anything, I'm back in the same boat.

I have upgraded to the LG Optimus F3(yea, It's awesome but desperatly needed link2sd) but I was planing to use the Triumph to connect to a TV via hdmi so my mom could watch everything on the network through wifi but now I am just pulling my hair out. SMH

Any other thoughts?

Have you tried stock Rom (after a full system wipe with an older cwm) and then remove the sd card? Just to eliminate that as possible suspect.

I got nothing. That's crazy.

I haven't tried an older cwm or the stock rom but I have tried removing the sd card, nothing. I'll try my back up of the stock rom later tonight. Thanks for the suggestions.

IKR, SMH...

Try it, but if it doesn't work, what I meant was to flash fresh after a full system format.

This ROM Stock_ROM_SplashImage_b_randon14 flashed with one of these (5.0.2.6 or 5.0.2.7) recoveries http://androidforums.com/triumph-al...stalling-cwm-custom-rom-motorola-triumph.html

Then if it does work, you should be able to go ahead and load up whatever.

Every time I flash I, clear cache/factory reset, format system and format data. My nephew came spent the night with my two so I ain't going to get around to it today.

I tried loading my original stock backup but it wouldn't load, I'm guessing it's got to do with the cwm version. I did figure out the rebooting issue was with ES. I've gotten in and wanted to run antutu to test the battery life unplugged using an external charger. It wouldn't run, first it said it was charging(it wasn't), then I noticed the reported battery temp was +160c. I'm thinking dsmryder was right. smh

I think so too. Was hoping for your sake he wasn't.
If you want to delve into it further and trace back, the middle battery contact is the temperature sensor.
That sucks
