Physical buttons have become sluggish

Mines been doing it a little while now. in fact I have noticed it get gradually worse, however sometimes with the volume buttons if i press them closer to the actual rocker, I get much better responsiveness.

Can't be bothered to work out exactly how old it is. May 2010, whatever day O2 released it.

They make them to last just long enough for you to not feel cheated, but not so long that you never bother upgrading to the next model.

TBH If something I'd bought started going wrong within 18-24months of getting it, I sure wouldn't upgrade to a new model from that same company lol.
