Accessories [PICS] Comparison shot: Zagg vs. Steinheil

A screen protector is Purchased to protect the screen. which one works better?

again. that Picture means nothing.!

I completely disagree. The pictures illustrate the differences in the clarity and texture of the screens. Since we interact with the screens whenever we use our phone, having an indication of what we're buying beforehand can be beneficial.

Looks like you use the same High Gloss case. I just ordered Steinheil CC and I was wondering if putting my case on would peel the protector.

Can you give me some tips? Or is the protector cling good enough that the case doesn't affect it.

No special tips required. The screen clings just fine for this case. Just apply the screen and slip on the TPU case.

I heart my Steinhil screen protectors. I'm outside at work for 8 hours a day, and the glare KILLED me. I bought both the anti-glare version, and the crystal clear versions. I put the anti-glare one on mine, and the crystal clear one on a good friend's phone. She loves hers, and I heart mine. No more fingerprints, smudges, or glare on my phone. I can see it in full daylight, and it is a LOT clearer than the Zagg. The display is super mad mega important to me, as my other career is as a photographer, and while I might not always have a laptop, ipad, or other big internet device, I do always have my phone on me, and I have booked more than one client by being able to show them images when I randomly first meet them.

I've been looking for an anti-glare/fingerprint screen protector. So you're saying the Steinheil doesn't reduce clarity much? I just hate glare and fingerprints, and I like a smoother swiping surface. Many complain about text blurriness - do you have that problem?

Here is what I think about the Steinhil:

The surface is great, better than it was naked.

No more smudges, glare, having to polish the screen constantly with a microfiber or with my Oakley bag, and I can see my phone in the direct sun.

As far as clarity, clarity is reduced. It is going to be with all of the anti-fingerprint screen protectors. But, it is hands down ten times better than the Zagg, or any other offering on the market. Between my roommate and I, we tried just about every one on the market, Zagg, VZW, Sprint, egay, et cetera. The text and edges on photos are still slightly less clear though. If the ultimate display is important to you, then either go naked or get the CC from Steinhil. If being able to actually use your phone in challenging lighting conditions or fingerprints annoy the living piss out of you, then get the Steinheil anti-fingerprint joint.

The surface is great. Both with the CC and the Anti-fingerprint versions. I've had the Anti-fingerprint one on my phone for a few months now. I put the CC one on her phone because she is inside at work for most of the day. I have swype on both phones, so you can imagine how much sliding your finger across the display goes on, as opposed to just tapping it. IMO, it is better than it was naked on both.

She can't really compare though. As soon as we got her phone, I took it over for the next few hours, and she got back a rooted D. Inc with all the bloatware gone, with a Steinheil CC, in my extra VZW black silicone case, and a ton of apps, lol.

I hope the Steinheil antiglare looks nothing like the Verizon one. I really can't stand the way it distort whites into sparkles of rainbow colors.

That said, it does work really well and you can't see the sparkle effect in bright outdoors. I also like how my finger glides over the screen.

Well, I just ordered it, so we'll see
