Root PlayfulGod we need root for zvc

I have been trying to downgrade for the past day so i gave up now im just going wait for you to put out a root. :P p.s. Please hurry lol
 
He's on it... but remember he's only 1 man. An i feel your pain about the downgrade I just paid someone to do it for me. The guy that did it said that the links in the directions werent working or they were outdated an also had to go to the LG site for that tot file or whatever you call it.... but anyway sit back an relax...
 
Yea Downgrading is a big pain :p hopefully playfulGod will get that root up soon though and I don't understand why people keep saying that it is unrootable
 
Like I said before fella's it does work. Trust me it WAS indimidating for me also(Don't have an extra $300 lying around for a new phone).:eek:

Just need to read it,follow step by step, and if you get stuck there are many on here that will help you.

True, but it wasn't rooted in traditional methods, and couldn't apply his root to any batch or exe files. Else, we would have ZVC rooted already lol

But to get the rooted ZVC rom Shiny has, it'll have to be flashed, but ZVB kernels don't work. With the source released a ZVC kernel will be compiled, but until an actual root is made for those with ZVC, they'll have to downgrade to B.

Also we really need to be able to root a phone that has ZVC not only to obviously root it and flash cwr and rom and etc but we kinda really need to root it to pull the ZVC boot.img.

dood if you want to guide me through it i will do what i can... ill upgrade and 'try' to root zvc with your help lol than if you need anything else or if i can do anything let me know man! i only use my esteem with wifi dont have phone service with them (lol i keep a crapy old 30$ straight talk/non-android flip phone for my actual phone) data plans are just too damn expensive..
 
coding/compiling roms and rooting are sometimes very different ballgames. rooting usually takes advantage of exploits while coding is coding. just because someone is a very effective coder doesn't mean they can magically find an exploit to root like magic!
 
and as always read it, than read it 2 more times, and never skip any steps and you will be downgraded in no time.
