Playstation Live PS4 unveiling

I fired up Metal Gear 4 last week, there was and update (its been awhile since I played...the updated is from a year or 2 ago...lol) and it now has the option to install the whole game all at once instead of as a new chapter comes...but it still needs the disc to run.

Sorta like a PC.....

Why coudnt MS do that? Does all or most disc based PS4 games do partial installs? If so...MS shoulda just went that route.

I think the reason (this generation)is because not all of the 360s had a hard drive included at first. Even some of the ones with a hard drive are ridiculously small. Don't know what their excuse is this time around.
 
A lot of games are also on Playstation.I went on Gamestop and saw Splinter Cell Double Agent for PS3. Never knew they had that game for PS. :p

Definitely. My XBL expires in January, but I don't care. It's not set to renew again, so I'm good on that front. I may consider signing up for PS+ also though. Not too fond of the trophies system, but it's w/e.
 
I wish I had the patience for stealth type games, but sadly do not. As a result, I tend to miss or not enjoy many great titles in that category.

What? That means you never played Metal Gear....oh man.

I get it tho. I ....very rarely....play fighting games. Boxing mostly, might start watching and playing UFC.

Yeah but my accounts won't be linked between XBL and PSN. If there is loyalty bonuses, it might just be a dogtag or early weapon unlock or something, I won't be able to have it even though I've played the paint off the disc on Xbox.

Loyalty bonuses are overrated. 9 times out of 10, you don't even use the p.o.s. item that they provide.

Don't worry, Splinter Cell changed for this exact reason, just like why so many other games are basically the same. There was a group of people out there that didn't like pure stealth games so they threw a ton more action in there so that those folk would buy them.

Dang right. I played the crap out of the first 3 Splinter Cell games, then played a newer one that had this kind of RDR type targeting system and I was like.. what have you done to my Sam Fisher???

It's been a long old wait but the day is finally here. :party:
I've now only got to hang on till 6pm GMT and then I can find out what goodies Sony has in store. There's also the bonus of Sony announcing their release plans. I'm hoping they give the actual date but I suppose there's the chance that they'll just give a month.
