Root Please help me fix my V

Newbie
This is my first android phone, and i'm not real sure what went wrong. The V i have was a 2.2.1. i used CWM ver. 5.0.2.7, and the about phone stats now read like this: Android version 2.3.4, Baseband version unknown, kernel version 2.6.32.9-picasticks-07 wicket@endor #2, CPU info ARMv6-compatible processor rev 5 (v6l), Mod version asopCMod-VM670-20110601, Build version GRj22. CPU min/max is 245/748. Everything seemed to work like a charm, then i noticed none of my sensors were working. screen won't rotate, prox sens don't lock screen durring calls, and accel. don't work with games. So I was gonna flash another rom. I booted into recovery to get a "SD card marker mismatch" message. PLUS the vol. up does nothing, vol down scrolls up, PTT button scrolls down, home button does nothing, menu, return and camera buttons bring up the ROM manager logo, and pwr button does nothing. I tried to use manual flash override and the only option i am given when asked to confirm phone model is LG Optimus C LW690. How do I correct this? Thank you in advance for your help

That version of CWM recovery isn't good for your phone, you need either 3.2.0.1 or VM670NH. Also, your rom has a build date from last June. Try putting the correct recovery on your phone, then a newer rom.

I second this. Flash the VM670NH recovery (if your V has the new screen, CWM 3.2.0.1 will leave you with a black screen) and one of the IHO roms. Follow this link and read everything carefully.

Hmm, I remember reading a while back that there were problems with newer versions of CWM. Perhaps they've fixed whatever the issues were.
