Help Please help me!! (Galaxy S2)

My samsung galaxy s2 is not being connected (recognized) to pc or kies.

I also unplugged the charger but it still says its charging.

Please help me!! Thanks in advance.

That is weird. You can turn off the phone then turn it on to see it helps. Or you might want to try factory reset of your phone. The idea is to force your phone to forget the inconsistent status.

Hope this helps.

1) Try on another PC with and/or without Kies.
2) Try cleaning the USB port with a toothbrush
3) Try connecting via USB utilities to see if the phone can be detected that way.

My galaxy s2 was connecting to pc when it was on android 2.3.3 and there was not any problem. But when i updated to 2.3.6 and now its not connecting to pc. The pc doesnt recognise my galaxy s2.

I tried to downgrade back to 2.3.3 using oden. But its not even getting recognised.

Is there another way to downgrade? Like using the sd card??

Please help me. Im very worried.

You really don;t want to downgrade. If your only problem is that your phone is not recognised by your PC since your upgrade then this often happens and is nothing to worry about.

I assume that you have the very latest version of Samsung Kies installed on your PC:-

Kies Samsung

You can follow the steps in this post by Hawker, entitled, "Advanced steps to take for Kies connection problems", see here:-

Hope this helps. :D

It's because of the update and i'm 100% sure. So please tell me a way to downgrade (excluding odin)

Excluding Odin... none!

You could try taking it to your nearest Samsung Service Centre and see if they will do it for you.

(FYI, when you update a thread it shows as unread again. So there is no need to start a new thread.)

Welcome to the AndroidForums, qwerty10892 :).

Okay guys, I've merged qwerty10892 two threads into one, hope that doesn't cause too much confusion (actually hoping it will clear up more ;) :)).

Anyway, good luck and thanks to everyone for giving great help and advice to our new member here.

Cheers!

In your very first post you said when you unplug, your phone still says it's charging. This tells me you have a faulty USB port which is more common than you might think.

Here is a link to a thread that has a lot of people showing the same issue. There are multiple solutions depending on what caused the problem so don't trust just one solution. Relax and read more than one issue.

Also, did you read this thread?

Did you say you did an update and since then it has had issues? Have you tried doing a factory reset, may help may lose all your data but there are plenty of free apps for app backup.

I remember when my old k800i kept saying it was charging I think the battery needed replacing.
